Requirements for your Technical Brief

Technical Brief Instructions for Cycle 3 Year 7's - DUE in class week 9 or earlier

You will be marked on the 3 compulsory components AND on your visual language  that means your presentation/EFFORT

Compulsory Section
  1. Drawing of your design (photos taken last week are available in the hard tech room)
  2. Conceptual Statement
  3. Attributes

Visual Language
  1. Use of colour
  2. Use of pictures
  3. Use of title
  4. Layout
  5. White space
  6. Correct spelling/ easy to read
  7. Neatness
  8. Named


LI - Technical Drawing
SC - use pencil , rules, use shading, use annotation (label things), try and draw in 3 dimensions (width, height and depth)

LI - Conceptual Statement
SC - Write a paragraph in sentences that includes the following information about your product - What it is - Why you are making it - Who will be the primary stakeholder (who will use it) and possible secondary stakeholders (other possible users) - where it will be used - How to use it

LI - Attributes
Describe what you SEE (physical) and what it DOES (functional)
Physical - size, number, finish, colour, made out of, strength/ durability, Decoration
Functional - feel, does, image, use /purposes, reliability, safety, environmental sustainablity
